PCP recently completed the Detroit Red Wings Arena project for $25M, with our joint venture partner Turner Brooks Interiors. Our JV, PCPTB, was formed to put two major companies together to construct this project, which had to be completed by September of 2017 without exception. A team of 4 estimators spent 6 weeks assembling a package of Lt. Ga Framing, Interior Framing/Drywall, Acoustical Ceilings, Specialty Ceilings, Lapendary Panels, Custom Scaffold Erection, Doors/Fr/Hdw, and rough carpentry to complete the entire arena package.
All in all, there was over 128,000 man hours, 15 miles of walls & soffits, 1.7M SF of drywall and 200,000 SF of Ceilings.
This project was the largest endeavour in the City of Detroit for quite some time, worth almost $900M of work. Features of the building are, a video display screen wrapping the entire envelope of the arena proper, 62 custom suites, Gondola seating hanging 90' in the air, from the rafters. 126,000 SF of Lapendary baffles hanging 145 Ft in the air attached to the roof structure and many other state of the art features.
The puck droped on time in October 2017!!
